Staffordshire artist Paul Newcastle is best known for his oil landscape and seascape paintings.
His work seeks to capture the beauty of natural light, drawing inspiration from nature, reflections, colour, and the emotions they evoke. Fascinated by the movement of the sea, Paul paints everything from crashing waves against rugged rocks to the gentle roll of water onto sandy beaches. For him, painting is a form of escapism - a way to share the beauty and atmosphere of the natural world.
Paul was the winner of “The People’s Choice Award” at the Brampton Museum and Art Gallery Open Exhibition 2019. He has also exhibited throughout the U.K. and serves as Vice President and member of the Society of Staffordshire Artists.
